Low-carb desserts can be a solution to your sugar cravings.

Even those who don’t consume a lot of sweets can get the scourge of low-carb dieters everywhere — sugar withdrawal.

Fortunately, the craving for sweets only lasts a few weeks on Atkins, South Beach, Caveman, and other carbohydrate-restricted diets. And low-carb desserts can at least give your tongue a taste of cravings.

Sugar is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It’s delicious, satisfying and pure evil – it damages the pancreas and causes dangerous diabetes.

Here’s what happens: When you eat meals that contain a lot of high-glycemic foods, your blood sugar goes up. In response, the pancreas sees something wrong and produces insulin, which lowers glucose levels in the bloodstream.

You can literally whip up a no-carb heavy whipping cream dessert and no-carb artificial sweeteners. Add a little low-carb flavor and you’ve got yourself a delicious candy-like dessert. Freeze it and you have fake ice cream.

Other helpful Atkins, South Beach, Caveman, and other low-carb tricks include keeping seeds, nuts, cheese, and hard-boiled eggs on hand to help you balance your blood sugar levels. Don’t forget that boiled eggs can be turned into delicious deviled eggs too!

These days, low-carb desserts include some delicious sugar-free chocolate, which is just as good, creamy, and satisfying as a standard chocolate bar. Just be diligent about watching your carb intake, especially if you seem to be hitting a lot of plateaus.

Another trick is to make sure you add a good daily multivitamin to your diet. Sometimes, nutritional deficiencies — such as a deficiency in magnesium, zinc, or chromium — can lead to cravings for chocolate and/or sugary sweets! You can fend off some food cravings if you take a daily supplement.

There’s no doubt that occasional sugar cravings will be a part of carb-restricted diets, but you can banish them with the help of these low-carb desserts and tips!
